... forever families ...

This is one of my most favorite families ever! 

I am really lucky to have such wonderful friends, and definitely have them in the "Duts!" 

(names have been changed to protect the innocent :)

This special day has been a long time in the making for this beautiful family, 

and I'm so happy that I was able to capture some pictures for them and their families!

And just because I can never resist a picture of little feet ...

... life happens ...

I don't know how many people look at this blog. 

I'd like to think that it is looked at often, but I really have no idea! 

For those one or two of you who might look at it every once in a while, 

I have not fallen off the face of the earth!

This last month has been busy and full of things that weren't so fun, 

but I suppose that is life, right? 

School has since started and studying is occupying most of my "free time," 

but I'm hoping to get organized enough that I can still shoot and post regularly!

Until that miracle happens, I'll leave you with a picture of my beautiful niece, Sadie, on her blessing day!

We had such a marvelous time on our trip!

I can't even count the number of photos I took during our 10 days in New York,

but these are the "few" that I decided to focus on!

I found myself fascinated with the old architecture in the City

as well as using the sun to make my pictures more interesting!

These photos have been edited, but the sun spots and rays on every picture

except the first one you see are original and have not been digitally added!
