He's here!!

Well, he was here in January, but due to the craziness that has been this Semester,

 I'm just getting these posted!!

 

He is so adorable and I just loved snuggling with him
as we were getting him ready for his photos!!

Jacob's Newborn Session

The week after Jacob was born, I headed over to his house to get some newborn photos!!

Here is the announcement that I made up (specific info removed for Jacob's privacy!).

We also attempted some family photos, but sweet little Zoey just wasn't into getting her pictures taken that day!! We did get a few with all four of them sitting together, but this picture made me laugh pretty hard. This is the best smile that I saw the whole time I was there:

It was a fun afternoon and I appreciate Mac & Tori letting me into their home with all of my gear and my crazy ideas!!

Introducing Leo ...

This sweet little guy is Leo! First of all, I will say this - I absolutely LOVE that name! I love that it is not a common name, but it totally seemed to fit him!! It took Leo a while to settle into the shoot, but once he was out, we had a great time trying out some different props and poses!!









This was my first experience shooting at a client's home with my backdrop stand, and even though I was a little nervous, I'm way happy with the results!! I'm grateful to Leo's mom for being patient with me while I learned some new techniques on her sweet baby!!

The hats used in this shoot were made by Brittany, over at Crafty Mischief!

Sadie

Do you remember my sweet niece Sadie? 

She is going to be one next month! I can't believe she is already a year old!! 

I took these photos of sweet Sadie at the same time I took the photos of little Eli!! 

Sadie is a mover and I couldn't get her to hold still!

I'm crossing my fingers for some lights here pretty soon 

so that I can use my new backdrop stand to it's fullest potential 

and not have to worry about these silly shadows!!

Sweet Little Eli

This is Eli. 

He. is. adorable. 

I spent an evening shooting some photos of him and my beautiful niece 

(those pics to come soon) and I had a fabulous time!! 

I got a new backdrop stand when I had my twin session a few weeks back, 

and I was so excited to use it again!!

The hats and diaper cover that Eli is sporting were made by my truly crafty and clever friend, Brittany! She is working on getting her Etsy shop up and running, and when it is, 

I'll be sure to come back and post a link, because she does some AMAZING things with a ball of yarn!!

Oh, how I love this family! 

They were all able to get together for Christmas 

and I was fortunate enough to spend some time with them the day after and take their photos! 

I have known this family for years and years and it was so fun for me to see them all together 

and to capture their silliness and their love for each other! 

It was a chilling 6 degrees outside, but they were troopers! 

And watching the adults dance around to get smiles out of the kids 

(and probably to stay warm) was priceless!
