Tonight I had a bit of photographers luck - I was able to capture Captain Jack Sparrow and a couple of his shipmates as they were on their way to plunder a carnival!

These amazing costumes (yes, including Jack Sparrow's awesome hair and beard) were made by these kiddos amazing crafty mom! If you want to see more of her stuff, check her out at Crafty Mischief! I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!!

I might be biased, but I'm pretty sure that these are three of the most endearing little pirates around!!

A Sunset in July

Who says I can't post photos of this gorgeous sunset that I took in July in October? 

No one? Great! Here they are then!! :) 

Nate & I were driving home from getting ice cream with his family at 

Aggie Ice Cream on a beautiful July evening and decided

 to drive down to Old Main to shoot for a bit because the sunset was breathtaking!! 

The colors in these photos have not been exaggerated, it was truly this beautiful!!

    

    

The gorgeous sunsets that we have here in Cache Valley are one of my favorite things about living here!!

... don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me ...

Several weeks ago we were having dinner with my husband's family! 

My sister in law has an awesome apple tree in her back yard

 that had dropped a ton of apples!! 

The lighting was perfect, my beautiful niece is perfect, and I found the perfect little chair - 

how could I not have a mini photo shoot!!

...Serenity ...

Several months before I married the love of my life, my parents bought a new home!! 

The home came with a lot of land and my mom was just the person to make that land beautiful!! 

For the last several summers I have wanted to document the beautiful-ness that my parents 

have cultivated with a lot of hard work and dedication!

We spend a lot of time in my parents back yard, 

whether it be sitting around the fire pit with our nephews and nieces, 

relaxing in the hammock, or sitting around the picnic table playing cards ... 

whatever the activity may be, their backyard is the perfect place to escape and to find a little serenity ...

As you can see, they have worked hard and these photos are just the tip of the iceberg! 

Maybe someday my mom's green thumb will rub off on me - but for now, 

I'll just live vicariously through hers!!
